Still waiting for the time to play this. Don’t care how old it is or how many times I’ve played it, I’m crazy excited for the remaster.

I just finished playing. I have it for free because I own Skyrim Legendary Edition on PC.

I’m just waiting for mods, I don’t want to get too invested in vanilla because I know ill get bored soon, It’s hard going back to vanilla after you’ve played 100s of times with usually around ~100 mods.

I do have a new graphics card and stuff so im ready to go nuts when mods come out.

Here’s some screenshots of mine on ultra quality on PC. I get a solid 60 fps at 1080p, not even a stutter. Shows off some new stuff like massive amounts of grass/flora, long view distance, moon rays and larger/more varied color pallette for the environment. It truly looks amazing.

This should be even more moddable, since the .exe is finally a 64-bit one. Also, the inclusion of the lighting/shaders from Fallout 4 means you don’t need to bother with ENB/SweetFX/Whatever to get nice lighting.

yup the 64 bit is going to be awesome. No more limits. My computer gets 30fps on my original skyrim with mods, but im sure it will be an easy 60 with that improved optimisation.

I just hope SKSE updates fast because I need sky UI. Original skyrim’s UI is so bad i forgot how awful it is.

I don’t get the people who say that the game doesn’t look much better from the original on PC, when it does. A whole lot. Having the high-res DLC textures activated by default helps a lot, but the improved foliage, the FO4 lighting and the more advanced AA options make the game look significantly better. It also performs better than the game used to at the same visual level, since the mods needed were much more taxing than the new version.

As good as Skyrim’s theme is, Oblivion’s intro still gives me goosebumps every single time.

I completely agree, espeically that last bit. The performance and 64 bit was what makes it worth it. It’s so smooth and works perfect, while the old would get janky and be alot more taxing for virtually the same thing.

Also it has stuff ENB can’t really do, like extra flora and proper god rays.

Also the view distance is insane. Mods that enable this sort of view distance where extremely taxing. This gives way to improve the game even further.
